Query by Rebecca: Require help identifying odd extremely antique binoculars?
I have a pair of binoculars- anticipate they're not binoculars. They lessen the object becoming viewed 4x to produce an illusion. They're labeled Fata Morgana a stamp or maker's mark that looks like a mortar with the letters RBC written inside. Any suggestions?

I don't know about the reduction (no offense, are you looking via them backwards?)

BUT, I did locate some info about them. It seems they are just old binoculars. Fata morgana is italian for "mirage" and refers to a distortion of one thing viewed along the horizon due to light traveling through various temperatures of air.

It could be just the name of the solution itself in this case. Other than this, it appears they are just ordinary binoculars, albeit from the 1920s.
